If you have been suffering from chronic pain for any amount of time then I have no doubt that you have tried to find a fix for your chronic pain through the internet, your friends, and even your doctor.
The problem is that the answers that you have been provided don’t target the root cause of YOUR chronic pain, and can sometimes do the opposite of what you wanted them to do!
Here are some of the most common and most damaging chronic pain myths that you might have heard from your doctor, friends, or the internet.
MYTH #1 - NOTHING CAN BE DONE
If you suffer from chronic pain then you have probably been told in the past that there is nothing that you can do about it, and you just need to learn how to live with it.
Well, as the leading chronic pain expert in Edina, I am here to tell you that is just not true. There is always something that can be done.
The problem is when you have been seen before for your chronic pain, they aren't able to give you the same one-on-one attention that I do in my clinic.
They have also probably never treated your fascial system, I focus on treating your fascial system and tissue to help solve the root cause of your chronic pain.
MYTH #2 - REST IS BEST WHEN YOU'RE IN PAIN
I know that one of the top things you have been told to do when your chronic pain flares up is to reach for that pill bottle and spend days resting in bed praying for this episode of pain goes away.
But this is just not true! Sure rest in small bouts can help, but spending days on end on the couch or in bed is only going to make the problem worse in the long run.
As the leading chronic pain expert in Edina, I like to tell everyone that comes through my doors "motion is lotion", it's better for you to listen to your body and for us to work on getting you moving as safely as you can as quickly as we can so that you can keep moving and going about your daily life!
MYTH #3 - AVIOD THE ACTIVITES YOU LOVE!
Not only have you incorrectly been told to rest, but I can bet that you have been told to avoid any of the activities that you love.
Whether that's going to play hockey, pickleball on the weekend, or just walking the dog.
You've probably been told that you need to avoid doing anything that you have found to flare up your chronic pain.
But as the leading chronic pain expert in Edina, I am here to tell you that you don't need to avoid all those activities. I can help you get back to those activities that you love and help cure your chronic pain with my proven, natural, and long-lasting methods.
MYTH #4 - IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD!
This is one of the most frustrating myths about chronic pain that I hear daily. I know that when you have been to the doctor's office they've told you nothing looks to be wrong because your pain isn't showing up on x-rays, ultrasounds, CAT scans, or even MRIs.
Not only does this leave you frustrated and still in agonizing pain, but it can also leave you feeling hopeless and alone in how you're feeling.
But as the leading chronic pain expert in Edina, I am here to tell you it's not in your head, your chronic pain is very real and is there for me to find and heal with my fast, effective, and natural techniques.
